David L. Shuler
David L. Shuler is a New York based exchange, technology, foreign service and bank executive who is managing director at Paxos. Previously, he was a managind director of alliance and venture management at the CME Group. He was named to that position on July 2, 2009. He was responsible for directing CME Group's investments in new businesses and strategic partnerships, and reported to Ken Vroman, managing director and chief corporate development officer.[1] Background[edit]Before joining CME Group, Shuler was senior vice president, exchange solutions for NYSE Technologies, where he headed NYSE Euronext's exchange technology business. He also served as senior vice president and chief of staff for NYSE during the company's transition to a public company, as well as for NYSE Euronext.[2] He was brought into NYSE Euronext by then CEO John Thain after the Dick Grasso scandals rocked the exchange and its executives.[3] Shuler previously held leadership roles at Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York and Japan, and he spent over a decade as a diplomat in the U.S. State Department.
