Don Byron
Don Byron was named head of global industry operations and execution at the Futures Industry Association in 2019. In this role, he is responsible for development and implementation relating to clearing operations, execution technology, cybersecurity, and market structure. He is the principal FIA liaison with the divisions and committees representing these areas. He is based in Chicago with global responsibilities.[1] Background[edit]Byron joined FIA from Fidessa/ION Markets in Chicago where he served as product manager for Fidessa’s derivatives global trading platform. Previously, he worked at Barclays Investment Bank in New York as a product manager within the Agency Derivatives Clearing product management group. Earlier, he spent several years at Northern Trust in the Investment Outsourcing Division. Education[edit]Byron holds a bachelors degree in Management Information Systems from Lewis University and an MBA from the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University.
