Edemir Pinto is CEO of BM&FBOVESPA, which was created by the merger of BM&F and Bovespa. Pinto took the position in May of 2008.[1][2] Pinto also serves on the board of directors of the World Federation of Exchanges.[3][4] Background[edit]Prior to taking the CEO's position, Pinto was CEO of BM&F from April 1999 to May 2008 when he took office at co-CEO of BM&F Bovespa. Pinto joined BM&F as an economist in January of 1986.[5] In July 1987, Pinto was promoted to derivatives clearinghouse officer, responsible for risk management, settlement, participant registration, collateral, custody and controllership.[6] Education[edit]He graduated in Economics from Faculdade de Ciencias Economicas e Administracao de Empresas de Sao Jose do Rio Preto.[7] Five Minute Interview[edit]References[edit]
