Edward J. Dasso is the vice president of market regulation at the National Futures Association (NFA). In this role, Dasso is responsible for developing and overseeing NFA’s regulatory services program swap execution facilities (SEFs) and designated contract markets (DCMs).[1]

Before rejoining NFA in 2011, Dasso was manager of market regulation at the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE). While at ICE, he developed the surveillance program for over-the-counter (OTC) energy swaps that were deemed by the CFTC to serve a significant price discovery function. He also oversaw the daily compliance function for ICE’s OTC Exempt Commercial Market.

Before joining ICE in 2009, Dasso was managing director of NFA’s Market Regulation department as well as NFA’s investigations unit within the Futures Compliance department. He began his career at the Chicago Board of Trade in the Office of Investigations and Audits.

Dasso has participated on numerous industry panels including SEFCON and FIA Law & Compliance and has participated as a member of the CFTC’s Subcommittee on High Frequency Trading, part of the Technology Advisory Committee.

He has passed the Series 3, 6 and 7 exams. He is also a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

He received an MBA from Loyola University Chicago with specializations in finance, derivatives and information systems.

He graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
