Edward Pla
Edward Pla is managing director, global co-head of execution and clearing at UBS. He also serves as chairman of the FIA, elected in March 2018 for a two-year term. He replaced Michael Dawley, who retired from Goldman Sachs.[1] Background[edit]Pla has been a managing director at UBS Investment Bank since 1994 and has held multiple executive positions there.[2] While at UBS, he served on the board of LCH.Clearnet in London from June 2010 to March 2014. Prior to joining UBS, he served as vice president of currency derivatives trading at Bankers Trust from 1993 to 1994. Before that, he worked in currency trading at Cooper Neff Associates. From 1985 to 1991, he served as vice president of currency derivatives trading at O'Connor & Associates.
