The Futures Industry Association (FIA) established the Futures Hall of Fame in 2005 to commemorate its 50th anniversary. In 2006, at its annual conference in Boca Raton, Florida, the FIA honored past and present industry leaders for their contributions to the futures and options community by inducting them into the "Futures Hall of Fame." FIA was founded in 1955 in New York as the Association of Commodity Exchange Firms; thus the Futures Hall of Fame capped off 50 years of FIA history.[1]
