Gary Kemp is the founder, chairman and CEO of Paragon Castle, a proprietary trading company focused on exchange-traded derivative products using superior custom technologies. He is also owner of Exchange Technologies, an exchange and trading software, intellectual property holding company. Previously, Kemp founded Trading Technologies.[1]
Background[edit]
A computer geek who grew up in Colorado, Gary Kemp founded Trading Technologies in Frankfurt, Germany, in 1994. At the time he was CEO of TT, electronic trading was only in its infancy. He was also one of the primary architects involved in developing Eurex, the German/Swiss electronic futures exchange.[2]
In 1996, TT relocated its headquarters to Chicago, where it is based today.[3]
Kemp stepped down as CEO of TT in August of 2002.[4]He was replaced by former Apple engineer Chris Derossi. After Derossi held the spot for only five months, current TT chairman of the board and past CEO Harris Brumfield took over the position.[5]
Kemp worked at Andersen Consulting out of college, and was also one of the primary architects involved in developing Eurex, the German/Swiss electronic futures exchange.
