Gary Stone serves as director of trading research and strategy of Bloomberg Tradebook. During his time in the position, Bloomberg Tradebook has launched new trading algorithms.[1][2]
He is a member of the Market Technicians Association and a Chartered Market Technician.[3]
Background[edit]
Stone has been with Bloomberg since 2001. He began as a senior analyst before being named director of trading research and strategy in 2004 and took over Tradebook Development in 2007.
Prior to joining Bloomberg Tradebook, he was vice president of business development and the acting chief financial officer for Multicast Media Network, Inc. He was also a vice president and senior trader on a variety of trading desks at BNP Paribas Corporation, including the proprietary trading desk. He began his career as an assistant economist in the domestic research group and a trader/analyst on the Open Market Trading Desk at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Stone holds an MBA from New York University and a Bachelor's of Arts in Computer Science, Mathematics and Economics from the University of Rochester.
