Gene Orr is the president and CEO of Straits Financial LLC, USA. He was promoted to that role in September 2020. He will lead the group’s US business interests together with Paul Fry, COO and senior executive vice president.[1]

He was previously managing director, Straits Group.

Orr has more than 27 years of financial industry experience in the futures industry as well as in asset management and the banking industry. He has held senior positions at leading global financial institutions such as Citigroup Global Markets, HSBC, Cargill Investor Services and Refco Inc.


Before joining Straits Financial Group in 2017, he served as CEO of AQG Capital Management, now known as KB Asset Management in Singapore.
