Geneva Trading USA, LLC is a global proprietary trading company with offices in Chicago, New York and Dublin, Ireland. The firm was founded in 1999. It has has more than 100 traders and staff worldwide and is involved in more than 13 markets globally.[1]
History[edit]
Geneva was founded by traders H. Arthur Brereton and Thomas S. Freytag, who both began their careers on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade. The two moved to Europe in the early 1990s to trade on the London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE) and several years later created Geneva Trading in Dublin, Ireland.
Geneva opened its headquarters in Chicago in 2000 and a New York office in 2008. In May of 2010, Geneva merged with Mercury Holdings Group LLC, a proprietary trading and technology company.
