Guillermo Babatz Torres [1] [2] is chairman of the Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores (CNBV).
Background[edit]
Prior to assuming the chairmanship of CNBV, Babatz served as director-general of the Federal Mortgage Society (SHF). Before joining SHF, he was director-general of Securities and Insurance Markets and director of Domestic Debt Management for the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit.
Education[edit]
Babatz has a BA in Economics from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University.
