Guillermo Cano is an executive director with MSCI, Inc. He joined MSCI in 2016.
Previously, he was a senior product manager, investable products at Russell Investments, a U.S.-based global asset management and investment consulting group, and creator of the eponymous family of benchmark equity indexes.
Cano joined Russell in 2003 and has held several positions including manager of global policy for Russell's Index Policy Group, and as a senior financial analyst in the corporate finance group, where he managed annual corporate financial planning and forecasting.
Before joining Russell, Cano spent four years as a portfolio manager for a middle-market private equity group. At the start of his career, Cano worked as an analyst with JPMorgan Chase's capital markets group.
Cano holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Miami and an MBA from the University of Washington Foster School of Business.
