Henry Derwent is former president and CEO of the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) starting in February 2008. He replaced Andrei Marcu. Derwent stepped down from IETA in May 2012, and was replaced by Dirk Forrister, former climate adviser to President Bill Clinton.
Derwent is former director of Climate, Energy and Environmental Risk at the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs,(Defra), the lead UK Department on climate policy and sustainable energy, including energy efficiency.
