The International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) is developing disclosure standards to provide investors and capital market participants with sustainability-related risk and opportunity information about companies.


History[edit]

The International Sustainability Standards Board was created in November 2021 by the trustees of the IFRS Foundation. Housed in the IFRS Foundation, the ISSB is charged with developing standards for sustainability-related risk and opportunity information about companies.

The inaugural meeting of the ISSB was held on July 20-21, 2022, in Frankfurt. [1]
