Jenny Knott is former chief executive officer of NEX Optimisation, the Post Trade Risk and Information division of NEX Group (formerly ICAP). She was appointed to that position in August 2015 and was a member of the GEMG, the executive committee responsible for strategy and its implementation. She stepped down from the CEO role in October 2017 to pursue "new entrepreneurial opportunities."[1]

As part of her NEX Optimization job, she led the strategic direction of the ICAP Post Trade Risk and Information division and the Traiana, TriOptima, Reset, Euclid and ICAP Information Services businesses. She is credited with bringing in a new team and was focused on implementing one connection to all of NEX Group's Nex Optimisation services.[2][3]


Before working at Standard Bank Group, Knott worked at Nomura and UBS. Her career in financial services spans nearly 30 years and includes Standard Bank Group, where she held a variety of roles including global corporate and investment banking chief financial officer, chief operating officer and CEO of Standard Bank Plc and CIB International.
