Jeremie Bacon is co-founder & chairman of Synap Software Labs.

Formerly, he was the president of Orc Americas, the Chicago-based subsidiary of Orc, a trading technology platform for market makers, brokers and other financial market participants.[1] He was appointed to the position in May 2013, succeeding Marty Leamy, who left in January 2013 to become president of EPiCenter, a platform provider for web communities and e-commerce.


Bacon has over 13 years of experience in financial services and business software. Early in his career he spent three years as an institutional equities associate at Goldman Sachs, specializing in sales and trading for hedge funds, mutual funds and pension funds.

In 2003, Bacon co-founded Backstop Solutions, a provider of software-as-a-service platform for the alternative investment sector.[2] He served as Backstop's president and CEO from its inception in 2003 until April 2013. He joined Orc Group in May 2013.

Bacon has served as a global board member of Hedge Funds Care, a non-profit philanthropy that advocates on behalf of abused children. He currently serves as a board member of the Illinois Technology Association.[3]


Bacon holds a B.S. in international studies and global economics from Brigham Young University. In 1998 he earned a research diploma from the University of Tsukuba, Japan.
