Jill Considine was appointed to the board of directors of LCH.Clearnet Group effective April 25, 2014. She will also serve as chair of the board of directors of LCH.Clearnet LLC, the Group’s US-based entity. [1]

She also serves on the boards of the Interpublic Group of Companies, Mizuho Securities, USA and InfraHedge, Ltd.[2]


From 2009-2011, Considine was one of three trustees of the AIG Credit Facility Trust appointed by the US Treasury and Federal Reserve Bank of New York. She also served as chairman and CEO of the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation, and its AAA rated subsidiaries, from 1999 until 2008. She was president of the New York Clearing House Association L.L.C. from 1993 to 1998.

Before joining the New York Clearing House, she had been managing director and chief administrative officer at American Express Bank Ltd since 1991, and a member of its board of directors.

Considine was the superintendent of banks for New York State from 1985-1991. She had also served as president and chief executive officer of The First Women’s Bank and held a variety of executive positions at Bankers Trust Company and Chase Manhattan Bank.[3]

She also served a six-year term as a member of the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where she was chair of the Audit and Operational Risk committee.


Considine is an honors graduate from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. She also attended Bryn Mawr College and holds a bachelor's degree in biology and an honorary doctor of civil law degree from St. John’s University.
