John Collins
John P. Collins is a partner at the law firm Collins & Collins in Chicago. He focuses on governance, financing and regulation for not-for-profit clients, and is also on the board of directors at the North American Derivatives Exchange (Nadex). He is a sports law professor at the University of Chicago Law School and an ethics professor at the Loyola Graduate School of Business. Background[edit]Collins was an assistant U.S. attorney from 1992 to 1997, where he specialized in white collar crimes. From there, he became general counsel for the U.S. Soccer Federation, Inc. In 2001, Collins began serving as a litigation attorney and chair of the sports, entertainment, and media team at Jenkins & Gilchrist. He began his career at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, working on corporate restructuring and reorganization. Education[edit]
