John Streich is a managing director in the futures division of Knight Capital Americas LLC.

He is the former president and chief executive officer Penson Futures, which was sold to Knight in 2012. He was named to the presidency of Penson Futures in January of 2010. He was previously a member of the firm's senior management team.[1]


Streich joined Penson in November of 2007 as the result of Penson GHCO acquiring First Capitol Group, LLC, a non-clearing FCM that he founded in 2000.

In 1995, he was elected to the board of directors of the National Futures Association (NFA) as well as the NFA Appeals Committee. He was re-elected twice and served until 2002.

Streich started his financial market career as a runner and assistant analyst at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), and later leading the sales team at a large brokerage. From 1985 - 1989, John was a floor trader and broker working with managed and international accounts.[2]


Streich graduated from the University of Montana.[3]
