John Fay is a New York based financial markets executive who currently serves as the CEO of TrueCommerce.[1][2]

Prior to joining TrueCommerce, Fay was the operating partner of Welch, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, which focused on technology investments in supply chain and logistics.. He has also previously been the CEO of INTTRA, an logistics e-commerce network.

Also, from 2010 to 2013, Fay was global head of commodities and currencies at Newedge. [3] [4] He joined Newedge in January 200, as CEO of Newedge USA and head of the Americas Region.

Background[edit]

Before joining Newedge, Fay served as co-CEO and co-president of Instinet. He began his financial services career in 1988, playing a leadership role in building Morgan Stanley Dean Witter’s on-line brokerage business. Later, he worked at Goldman Sachs before joining Instinet where he assisted in leading the company’s rapid growth in Europe and Asia, until the company’s sale to Nomura in 2007.[5]

Fay serves as president of the board of trustees of the Morristown-Beard School and as a member of the Board of Trustees of Gettysburg College.

Education[edit]

Fay graduated from Mount Saint Mary's College with a bachelor of science in accounting and finance. He went on to receive an MBA from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business in 1998.
