John J. Lothian, the founder of MarketsWiki, is the principal of the firm.

History[edit]

John J. Lothian Managed Futures, LLC was created in 2011 to transition the managed futures business of John J. Lothian & Company, Inc. to a new independent firm and separate it from the media operations of John J. Lothian & Company, Inc.

The trading system used by the firm was acquired by JJLCO in 2003 from Jon Matte and Defender Capital Management, Inc. Matte is now COO of John J. Lothian & Company, Inc.

Products and Services[edit]

The firm has one trading program, named Maple Sugar, which trades No. 11 Sugar on the InterContinentalExchange and Canadian Dollar Futures on the CME Group's IMM division.
