John McKenzie is the chief executive officer of TMX Group, based in Toronto. He was appointed to that role on August 17, 2020 after serving as interim CEO since January 2020, when the company announced Lou Eccleston would step down as CEO. He is also a member of the board of directors.[1] McKenzie was previously TMX's chief financial officer. Background[edit]McKenzie has spent 20 years with TMX Group in increasingly senior executive positions.[2] Most recently, he had oversight of TMX’s Trust and Capital Formation businesses including the Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange.
