At Alaron, she served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Alaron Trading Corporation prior to its sale to PFGBest. She had responsibility for all operational aspects of the firm, including customer service, clearing, risk management and compliance, as well as liaising with exchanges, clearing houses and other counterparties.
Before joining Alaron, Meyer was president of MNM Financial, Ltd., a private practice she founded in 2000, where she provided independent consulting to corporate clients, attorneys and traders as well as to exchanges and clearing firms. She also was an active derivatives trader during that time.
Meyer is the former president of the Clearing House Division at Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Among her achievements, Kate led the implementation of the SPAN® margining system and all clearing aspects of the CME Globex electronic trading platform. She also worked for BrokerTec and was an executive of Refco after leaving CME.
Meyer received a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Illinois and her MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
