Kyle Brandon is managing director and director of research at the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA). She is a member of SIFMA’s Management Committee and leads its derivatives group, focusing on emerging OTC derivatives-related regulatory, compliance and business practices issues on behalf of SIFMA’s swap dealer members. She also oversees the research department, which produces surveys, reports and statistics on the financial industry and markets. She is also a member of the board of Women in Derivatives.[1]

Background[edit]

Before joining SIFMA’s predecessor organization, SIA, in 2004, Brandon was chief financial officer, chief operating officer and co-founder of Orion Capital Advisors, Ltd in Moscow, where she co-managed a $200 million portfolio of Russian investment-oriented hedge funds. Before spending a number of years in macro and emerging markets at US-based hedge funds, she worked on the dealer side in fixed income and derivatives.

She holds a BA in Japan studies from Cornell University and an MA in International Economics from the Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, The Johns Hopkins University in Washington, DC.
