Leslie R. Sutphen
Leslie Sutphen is a financial services executive with experience in brokerage, proprietary trading and technology. She is the president at Financial Markets Consulting LLC.[1] She is also co-founder and current president of Women in Listed Derivatives. In March of 2017, John Lothian News announced it was collaborating with Financial Markets Consulting and Sutphen on a market manipulation study.[2] She was previously the director of strategies and implementation at Chopper Trading. Background[edit]Before joining Chopper, Sutphen was the head of eSolutions for Newedge Group. She stepped down in early June 2010 and worked as a consultant for the financial markets until joining Chopper in August 2011.[3] While at Newedge, her responsibilities included overseeing the company's trading product line and coordinating the firm's electronic trading functions with IT and sales. [4] Before that she was part of the Institutional Financial Futures Department of Prudential Securities and responsible for the marketing of clearing and risk analysis systems. She also founded Prudential's global institutional futures and options desk in London. Sutphen is also a co-founder of Women In Listed Derivatives and serves as vice president on the executive committee. [5] Education[edit]Sutphen graduated from Mount Holyoke College and went on to receive a Masters in Finance and Marketing at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
