Mark Metzger is the director for institutional business development for futures brokerage Futures International. He was appointed to the position in July of 2012. Metzger had previously served as president of the commercial business group at R.J. O'Brien since 2001. Metzger is a 40-year futures industry veteran.

He is also a member of the National Grain and Feed Association.


Metzger began his career at Cargill, Inc in Minneapolis. During his 20 year career with the firm specializing in agricultural and commodity trading, he held a number of positions such as regional merchandising manager, merchandising manager, manager-worldwide non-grain feed ingredient and senior merchant-food grains department, and worked in various regional and global markets including Geneva, Switzerland, Kansas City, Portland, Sacramento and Norfolk.[1]

At R.J. O'Brien, Metzger grew the commercial business division into the top-performing division within the firm.


Metzger received a B.A. in marketing and management from Baldwin-Wallace University in Berea, Ohio in 1973.
