Mary McDonnell
Mary McDonnell is president of McDonnell & Associates, a Chicago-area consultancy she founded in 2010. From 2012-2015, she also served as a senior consultant with Simon Compliance.[1] In 2016 she was named a public director at the National Futures Association.[2] Background[edit]McDonnell has over 28 years of experience in the financial futures business. Previously she was president and CEO of Geneva Trading USA LLC. She was senior vice president of the Chicago Board of Trade when the exchange decided in 2003 to switch from the a/c/e electronic trading platform offered by Eurex, to LIFFE Connect, offered by Euronext-Liffe. McDonnell led the team evaluating the different trading platforms.[3] She joined the Chicago Board of Trade in 1977 as an auditor. Two years later, she became the chief financial and operating officer at Griffin Trading Co. In 1996, she was offered a job as an executive vice president helping to launch the Bermuda Commodities Exchange, an early all-electronic exchange for trading catastrophic reinsurance risk.[4] Education[edit]McDonnell earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Marquette University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
