Matt McFarland is vice president, derivatives products and business development, of MIAX Futures, named to the position in April 2021. 
Before heading up the futures group at Cboe, he was the director of business development and head of the London office of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), later renamed Cboe Global Markets.
McFarland worked at the CBOE since 2007 in a variety of roles and customer service positions. He's worked with insurance companies to enhance hedging strategies associated with variable annuities and fixed indexed annuities, and managed CBOE’s FLEX options program and its Customized Options Pricing Service (COPS).
Before joining CBOE, he worked in equity derivative sales at JP Morgan for 10 years.
McFarland graduated from Marquette University in 1992 and earned an MBA in Finance from DePaul University in 2001.
McFarland participated in the MarketsWiki Education World of Opportunity series in London in October of 2016 at the Woolen Exchange.
