Michael Meagher is first vice president, chief technology architect at The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC).
Previously, he was principal at Canard Consulting, and was managing director of information technology at Eze Software Group | RealTick EMS. He also was the head of application development for MF Global. Before joining MF Global, he was chief operating officer & head of technology at Penson GHCO, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Penson Worldwide Inc. (PNSN).
At Penson GHCO, Meagher was managing director of Information Technology from 2006-2007.
Before that he was director of business technology at Goldenberg Hehmeyer & Company from 2003-2006.
Meagher has more than 15 years of experience primarily in the securities and financial services industries. He began his career as a systems analyst for General Electric Plastics and then with SAP/Campbell, a developer of workforce management, decision support, and ERP solutions and services.
In 1996, Meagher became the Director of Professional Services for SAP/Campbell and led the development of key technology modules for the retail and financial services sectors in both the U.S. and Europe.
In 1998, he joined DiamondCluster International as a principal and has worked with firms such as Goldman Sachs, Lazard, Fidelity Investments, and BNP Paribas, guiding their organizational and operational development to maximize results through technology.
Meagher is a graduate of Marquette University, where he majored in Business Administration and Computer Science, and is a graduate of the Kellogg Management Institute at Northwestern University.
He is a member of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), the Project Management Institute (PMI), and the Institute of Management Consultants USA.
