Michael Prokop
Michael Prokop is Houston-based energy executive who serves as the director, digital transformation strategy and business for The Alliance Risk Group, LLC. Formerly, he was a managing director, energy products at CME Group, a post he took in September 2010.[1] Prokop has 25 years of global energy financial services experience (as of September 2010), and was responsible for advancing the CME's growth strategy for its energy business line. Background[edit]Prokop previously worked at Amerex Energy, an over-the-counter energy broker, where he was responsible for the oversight and development of the company's futures and clearing operations, data business and regulatory affairs. He also worked at FuturesSource, Gull Energy Finance Corporation and Eastbrook Futures, all based in Houston, and Merrill Lynch Futures based in New York. Prokop has served on the CFTC Energy and Environmental Market Advisory Committee and the Committee of Chief Risk Officers. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Global Energy Management Institute at The University of Houston's C.T. Bauer School of Business.
