NYSE Texas is a fully electronic equities exchange announced by the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on February 12, 2025 and launched on August 20, 2025.[1] The new exchange is headquartered in Dallas, Texas. NYSE Texas was created by reincorporating NYSE Chicago in Texas.[2][3] It is the first securities exchange to operate in Texas, according to its parent company, Intercontinental Exchange, Inc.

NYSE Texas launched with at least 25 new sign-ups in August alone. They all opted to add NYSE Texas as a secondary venue and kept their primary listings in New York.

History[edit]

NYSE Texas officially opened for business in March 2025. Trump Media & Technology Group was the first new company to have a listing on NYSE Texas.[4]

The announcement of NYSE Texas came as part of a strategic move by the NYSE to expand its presence in the Southwestern United States. The decision was driven by Texas' position as the state with the largest number of NYSE listings, representing over $3.7 trillion in market value. This move aligns with a broader trend of businesses relocating to Texas, attracted by the state's growing population, strong economy, and business-friendly regulatory environment.[5][6]

It also came at a time when efforts were being made to establish a separate Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE), highlighting the growing interest in developing Texas as a major financial hub.

On August 27, 2026, New York Stock Exchange, part of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. announced the opening of the opening of the NYSE Texas headquarters in Dallas. [7]

Products and Services[edit]

NYSE Texas offers:

  • A fully electronic equities exchange platform. NYSE Texas runs on NYSE's proprietary integrated trading technology platform, NYSE Pillar.[8]
  • Listing opportunities for companies incorporated in Texas and globally

The new exchange aims to provide public companies with a listing and trading venue centered within the "vibrant" economy of the Southwestern U.S., ICE said.
