Paul E. Singer is the founder and general partner of Elliott Management Corporation, a private investment partnership that manages $55 billion in assets (as of April 2023). Singer serves as a member of the Committee on Capital Markets Regulation. [1] Singer also is a member of the Board of Fellows of Harvard Medical School, a member of the boards of the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs and of Commentary Magazine, and is on the Board of Advisors of the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton University. [2] He is also a Trustee of the Manhattan Institute. [3] [4]

According to The Wall Street Journal, Singer is one of the world’s most successful hedge-fund proprietors.

Before the 2008 financial crisis, he tried to alert investors and public officials about the dangers of subprime mortgages. Since then, he has repeatedly warned that the Dodd-Frank Act of 2010, coupled with the expansive monetary policies along the way, could pave the way for financial disaster.[5]
