Pedro Parente
Pedro Parente is the chairman of the board of directors for BM&FBOVESPA. He was elected to the position on April 15, 2013, succeeding former Chairman Arminio Fraga Neto. Parente was also a member of the previous board. [1] Parente is also president and CEO of Bunge Brazil. [2] Background[edit]Prior to his position at Bunge Brazil, Parente was chief operating officer of Grupo RBS, a Brazilian multimedia company that owns newspapers, television and radio stations. He has also served in various positions in the public sector, including Minister of Planning and Deputy Minister of Finance of Brazil. Parente was also a consultant to the International Monetary Fund; he worked at the Brazilian Central Bank and Banco de Brasil. Parente has also served as chairman of the board for Petrobras and Banco de Brasil. [3] Education[edit]Parente attended the University Of New Brunswick, Fredericton in 1971.
