Peggy Sullivan is a New York-based technology executive who is currently a senior policy advisor to the Divison of Trading and Markets of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Previously, she was the chief of staff at Vela. She was named to the role in August 2018 after serving as a consultant to the firm since 2017. She was responsible for advising on market structure developments and customer relations.
Before joining Vela, Sullivan worked at the New York Stock Exchange for almost 20 years where she served as vice president for strategic analysis and market data. She was also administrator of the Consolidated Tape Association at NYSE, and head of market data administration. She also served as managing director of NYSE Euronext, director of the exchange's trading floor market data operations and US product management. She left NYSE in May 2017.
She is a graduate of Loyola College in Maryland.
