Pierre Nyquist
Pierre Nyquist is a visiting assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. His main areas of research are probability theory and mathematical statistics, specifically large deviations and stochastic numerical methods.[1][2] Background[edit]Before returning to KTH, Nyquist was a postdoc at the Division of Applied Mathematics, Brown University. He has also been a visiting scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Institute for Computational and Experimental Research in Mathematics, and a researcher at RUAG Space AB. Education[edit]He received a Ph.D. in Applied and Computational Mathematics in June 2014.
