RTD GUARD, or the Granular Universal Asset Risk Decision system, is a fully hosted, multi-layer risk management offering introduced in June of 2011 by global trading solutions provider RTS Realtime Systems Group.

The technology operates on an open FIX-based connectivity model. The RTS touts RTD GUARD as being a “platform neutral,” solution that enables industry participants to integrate the offering with a variety of other systems and manage risk across asset classes on more than 135 exchange venues globally.

RTS says in its promotional materials that RTD GUARD can help firms comply with regulations developed in the United States as part of the Dodd-Frank Act and in Europe under Mifid II. It offers real-time, pre- and post-trade centralized risk controls on multiple layers.
