Rajat Gupta is a former Goldman Sachs director who was convicted of securities fraud in 2012 as part of Raj Rajaratnam’s insider-trading ring. He was sentenced to two years in prison after sharing secret company information with a hedge fund manager.[1]

Background

Gupta once headed the consulting firm McKinsey & Co. and also served as a director to Procter & Gamble. He was well known as a philanthropist around the world.
