Ransom W. Dunham

Ransom W. Dunham was a member of the Chicago Board of Trade and served as its president in 1882.[1]

He also served as a U.S. Representative in Congress from Illinois from 1883 to 1889.[2]

Background[edit]

Dunham was born on March 21, 1838 in Savoy, MA. He moved to Chicago in 1857 and became a provision and grain commission merchant.

He died in 1896 and interred in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Chicago.[3]
