Roger Hollingsworth [1] is MFA's executive vice president and managing director, government relations. Hollingsworth is responsible for implementing the association's political and governmental relations outreach to the Executive Branch, Congress and regulatory agencies.

Background[edit]

Hollingsworth comes to MFA from the U.S. Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee where he was deputy staff director and senior policy advisor [2] to Committee Chairman Christopher J. Dodd (D-CT). He coordinated strategy for moving the Committee's legislative agenda through the 110th Congress, including measures enacted in response to the crisis in the global mortgage, credit and capital markets. Prior to joining Dodd's staff in 2007, Hollingsworth served as vice president and director, federal government affairs, for the Securities Industry Association, now Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association.

Hollingsworth also served as deputy chief of staff and legislative director to Senator Jon S. Corzine (D-NJ) and as banking committee aide to Senator Charles E. Schumer (D-NY).

Hollingsworth received his BA in Communications and Finance from University at Albany, State University of New York.
