Ruben Aganbegyan is CEO of MICEX-RTS, the merged Russian market of Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICEX) and RTS Exchange. Prior to the MICEX-RTS merger in December 2011, he served as president of MICEX.[1]
Background[edit]
Before taking his post as president of MICEX in June 2010, Aganbegyan was in charge of the Russian sector of business of Renaissance Capital Investment Company, where his responsibilities included expanding and strengthening relationships with key customers, as well as overseeing public relations and liaison with state authorities.[2]
From 2002 to 2003, Ruben Aganbegyan served as the managing director of project financing for the Troika Dialog Investment Co., as well as serving as the head of investment and banking office for the company.
From 1997 to 2002, Aganbegyan served as a co-head of Credit Suisse First Boston in Russia.
Before 2000, Aganbegyan also worked for a number of other companies, including PriceWaterhouse, Clifford Chance, and Credit Suisse Financial Products in Moscow.

Aganbegyan graduated from Moscow State Law Academy in 1995.
