Scott Knudsen is a Chicago-based trader, proprietary trading firm executive and crypto market technology executive who is the CEO of Cove Markets.[1]

He is a member of the board of advisors of the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University

Knudsen formerly was a partner and the head of IMC Trading in the U.S.[2][3][4]

Background

Knudsen joined IMC in Chicago in 2003. He served as head of index options from 2006 to 2011. He was head of trading for IMC in Hong Kong from 2011 to 2012.

He became a partner with IMC in 2012 and returned to Chicago to head their U.S. trading until he left in 2017.

Knudsen was a member of the CBOE Board of Advisors from 2012 to 2016.

Just after IMC has acquired Goldman Sachs specialist unit on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, Knudsen rang the opening bell on behalf of the firm.

Knudsen holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Northwestern University.
