DeFife comes to SIFMA with over 18 years of Washington experience.  Prior to joining SIFMA, he was senior policy advisor to House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD).  Previously, he served as legislative director to Congressman Bart Gordon (D-TN) and to Congresswoman Karen McCarthy (D-MO).
