Tae Yoo is an executive at the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Ltd. He is responsible for fixed income and currencies and client business development.[1]

Yoo has held a number of senior positions with HKEx since moving over from the CME Group in 2011.[2][3]

Background[edit]

At the CME Group, Yoo was director and head of strategic sales and Special Advisor to the Chief Operating Officer in Asia among other roles. At HKEx, he has also held the roles of senior vice president , platform development & sales, and managing director, head of product and index development.

Yoo began his career with Goldman Sachs Execution and Clearing on the CBOT and CBOE trading floors. He also worked for Sumitomo, Sakura Dellsher in Chicago.

Education[edit]

He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and computer applications from the University of Notre Dame. Yoo also holds a masters in business administration from the Stuart School of Business at the Illinois Institute of Technology, and GSAL program at the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business. He has been named an inventor on nine U.S. patents on derivatives risk management applications.
