Thomas J. Anderson, CPA, is a senior vice president at ADM Investor Services, a Chicago-based futures commission merchant and a wholly owned subsidiary of Decatur, IL-based Archer Daniels Midland.[1]

He joined ADMIS in February 2015 after serving in roles as chief financial officer and chief operating officer at a number of firms in the listed derivatives industry.

Anderson currently serves as a board member of the FIA North America Operations Division and is a co-chair of its Financial Management Committee.[2]

Background[edit]

In 2012 and 2013, Anderson served as chief financial officer of Allston Trading, a Chicago-based proprietary trading company. Before that, he was chief financial officer at R.J. O'Brien & Associates, Inc. beginning May 5, 2008.[3]

Before joining RJO, Anderson spent over seven years at Newedge and its forerunner Calyon Financial. There, he served as group treasurer in 2008, group COO in 2006-2007, and CFO from 2000-2006. He had also served as senior vice president, with the responsibility for implementing strategy in operations, IT, finance, and treasury. He also played a key role in the merger between Calyon and Fimat.

Before joining Calyon in 2000, Anderson spent 10 years at Lind-Waldock & Company (Lind), where he was CFO and senior vice president. He played an integral role in the sale of Lind to Refco Group in February 2000, as well as the acquisition of broker LFG LLC. [4]

Anderson began his career as an auditor for Checkers, Simon & Rosner.
