Thomas J. Erickson
Thomas J. Erickson is vice president, government and industry affairs, for Bunge North America. He joined the company in that role on December 2, 2002. [1] He is also an associate member director of the Futures Industry Association.[2] Background[edit]Erickson was a commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission from June 1999 until December 1, 2002. Before his appointment as a Commissioner of the CFTC, Erickson served as director, Office of Legislative & Intergovernmental Affairs at the CFTC (1997-99), assistant to the president/legal counsel of the National Grain Trade Council (1990-97) and legislative assistant to Senator Thomas Daschle, D-South Dakota (1987-90). Education[edit]Erickson received his B.A. degree in Government and International Affairs from Augustana College, Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1984 and his J.D. degree from the University of South Dakota School of Law, Vermillion, South Dakota in 1987.
