Thomas Krabbe is a Frankfurt-based executive who is presently a senior external advisor for Bain & Company, Inc.
Formerly, he was director of corporate finance at CME Group. He was named to the position in September 2008 and left in July of 2014. Krabbe's responsibilities included support of CME Group's international partnerships and leading the company's global growth prioritization and execution processes. He also worked with the finance, accounting and tax areas to ensure cross-departmental support for CME Group's international initiatives. He was then based in Chicago and reported to Sam Coady, director of corporate finance.
Previously, Krabbe assisted with the acquisition and integration of the Chicago Board of Trade and CME. He also worked on CME's partnership and equity investment with BM&FBOVESPA and played a leading role in establishing the company's partnership with the Korea Exchange and the long-term, exclusive license agreements with Dow Jones and NASDAQ OMX.
He earned both a bachelor's and master's degree in business administration from Westfalische Wilhelms-Universitat in Munster, Germany.
