Background[edit]

Before FIS, Shirley spent over 16 years with Goldman Sachs, most recently serving as co-head of product development, global futures and prime clearing. In this capacity, he was responsible for setting global product strategy, managing technology investment and overseeing key strategic initiatives. [2]

From 2019 to 2022, Shirley has been a member of FIA's Market Technology Board, and from 2021 to 2022, he co-chaired FIA Tech's Product Advisory Committee. On Monday November 14, 2022, he is scheduled to serve as a judge for the Innovators Pitches Session at the 2022 FIA Futures and Options Expo in Chicago.[3]

Education[edit]

Shirley earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Rutgers University. He also earned a Master of Science in computer science and a Master of Science in management science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. [4]
