Victor Technologies (VTEK) provides trading and risk management applications. The company's applications manage consolidated portfolio risk and provide low-latency/high-frequency market making tools and theoretical pricing engines. VTEK also provides real-time portfolio margin calculations and implied volatility feeds.

Victor Technologies was formed when the Gargoyle Group, an options market making firm, spun off its technology arm in 2010. The firm became operational in April and now has about 15 employees.[1]

Products and Services[edit]

Victor Technologies provides risk management, options theoretical pricing, high frequency trading and options market making. Its DJALI Risk Management Platform is hosted on VTEK’s own servers and is accessible under a Software as a Service model. Through leveraging NVIDIA GPU technology, it provides continuously calculated risk measures such as valuation, stress testing, exposure, greeks and VaR[2].

VTEK’s real-time Customer Portfolio Margining (CPM) system allows users to calculate their margin requirements at any time. Whereas the OCC only releases margin requirements at the end of the day, VTEK’s system replicates the OCC’s TIMS margin methodology to allow for intraday margin calculations[3].

The company also has a Market Volatility Feed (MVF) service, which provides real-time implied volatilities as both underlying and option prices move within the marketplace[4] . In September of 2014, Victor Technologies announced a partnership with Activ Financial to offer VTEK’s volatility feed as a managed service on Activ’s market data platform.[5]
