Warburg Pincus is a Wall Street private equity firm founded in the 1960s by Lionel Pincus and Eric Warburg. The firm has more than $40 billion in assets under management and an active portfolio of more than 125 companies diversified by stage, sector and geography.[1]

In the 1960s, Lionel I. Pincus & Company merged with E.M. Warburg & Company to form Warburg Pincus. Since its founding, the firm has invested more than $29 billion in more than 600 companies, including 20th Century Fox, Humana, Mattel and Mellon Bank.[2]
