William S. Jackson

William S. Jackson William S. Jackson was a member of the Chicago Board of Trade and served as its president in 1903 and 1904. He was the founder of Jackson Brothers & Company, a grain commission merchant in Chicago. Background Jackson was born in Adrian, MI. His father served as a sheriff in Wisconsin during the Civil War in the U.S. and Jackson served as a deputy Sheriff. He moved to Chicago when he was 34 years old and joined the CBOT the following year. He was a member of the Chicago Board of Trade from 1876 until the time of his death in November of 1914. Jackson was an alderman in Chicago, first elected in 1896 in the old 3rd Ward. Education He attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison. References
